Our Start
After one too many gifting experiences involving jam, stale biscotti, cellophane and mounds of hay, Gabrielle Durning founded The Uptown GiftBox Company in 2006, out of her beach-side home in White Rock, B.C.
As an event producer for more than a decade, she had begun creating the types of just-right gifts for her clients that she just wasn't finding anywhere else. Luxurious, gorgeous, delectable collections. It wasn't too long before the proverbial light bulb switched on-and a true Canadian success story was born.
Our Experience
With an extensive background in event production, design, celebrity gifting, public relations, multi-media production and performance art, The Uptown GiftBox Company has developed into a modern-day hybrid service, unlike any other.
In the event forum, Gabrielle has been involved with a veritable pot-pourri. Whether performance events at the Olympics in Athens, weekend-long music festivals, film production, intimate backstage parties or high-profile product launches.
When it comes to celebrity gifting, The Uptown GiftBox Company brings the background, connections, savvy and infrastructure to 'rock' the Gift Lounge concept. And this ain't their first rodeo! They've been on both sides of the fence and also sponsored Gift Bags for major awards shows.

In March 2009, The JUNO Awards were held in Vancouver and blew into town with an all-out West Coast celebration of Canadian musical talent.
